Ensemble w/ Peter Krempelsetzer, Kate Hilder and Sten Rudstrøm
EAT was intiated by Sten Rudstrøm in 2007. All of the members are Action Theater™ improvisation teachers and have studied extensively with Ruth Zaporah, founder/developer Action Theater. They meet on a quarterly basis to practice and perform. Our work is a form of physical poetry, shifting between story, song and movement as each improvisation calls. Often joy and pain shake hands, and conflict colors the room. Each improvisation is unique, never to be seen again.
Sten Rudstrøm In 2005/06, he co-founded two international improvisation performance ensembles: EAT, Streugut, in Berlin, with Ingo Reluecke, Zufit Simon, Martin Clausen, and Alexander Frangenheim. Performs improvisational duets with Sabine von der Tann, Andrew Morrish and collaborates with inkBoat/Shinichi Iova-Koga. www.stenrudstrom.com
Kate Hilder studied somatic movement and performance skills at Moving On Center, Oakland, CA, also influenced by Andrew Morrish, Roy Hart Theatre voice teachers, contact and dance improvisation, meditation practice, and Feldenkrais. Kate currently performs with EAT, and ‘Stranger than Fiction,’ a London-based group of improvisers. 2006-8 co-curated ‘Sunday Surprises’, London, cross-art form monthly improvisation event , performed with MudLotus (Amaara Raheem).
